AS WOMEN, WE OFTEN SPEND SO MUCH TIME IN OUR LIVES REALLY GIVING IT AWAY...SOMETIMES AS IF WE DON'T MATTER AND AS IF ITS OK. GIVING BACK AND SUPPORTING THOSE AROUND YOU IS WHAT YOU AS PERSON IN THE COMMUNITY SHOULD DO, HOWEVER, BEING A PERSON WHO CANT TAKE THE TIME TO PRACTICE SELF CARE IS A HUGE ISSUE THAT MANY OF US FACE.


WHAT ARE YOU SELF CARE ROUTINES?



HERE ARE 10 IDEAS TO HELP YOU GET MORE INTO YOUR SELF CARE




  1. BATHS

OK, MIGHT SOUND CRAZY TO SOME, BUT BATHS ARE WHAT HELPED TURN ME INTO MS.BOUNCEBACK...(LITERALLY WAS WHERE I WROTE MY 1ST BOOK!)

2. ALONE TIME


WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE, AND AT WORK, AND THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO...SOMETIMES WE CAN'T EVEN GO TO THE BATHROOM ALONE WITHOUT SOMEONE BARGING IN. LOL FUNNY NOT FUNNY... LOL. EVEN IF IT'S FOR 15 MINS A DAY...TAKE SOME TIME TO JUST HANG WITH YOU. SCHEDULE IT IF YOU NEED TO (PUT ON A DAMN TIMER OR ALARM!). MAKE A POINT TO LET THOSE IN YOUR LIFE KNOW THAT THIS IS IMPORTANT TO YOU AND FOR YOU.

3. SOCIALIZE .

I FIND THAT SOMETIMES JUST GETTING AWAY FROM THNGS THAT ARE BOTHERSOME IN THE MOMENT OR PROBLEMS THAT I'M FACING, SEEM TO GO AWAY OR ARE EASIER TO SOLVE, ONCE I'VE TAKEN MY MIND OFF OF THEM. AND WHEN WE SOCIALZE, WE GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO PUT THE "ISSUES" TO THE SIDE AND FOCUS OUR THOUGHTS ELSEWHERE. EASY SELF CARE TACTIC


4. PAMPER TIME


PAMPER TIME CAN BE SO MANY THINGS. MANI/PEDI/HAIR DONE/MASSAGE, ANY THING THAT ALLOWS YOU TO FEEL LIKE YOUR BEING "TAKEN CARE OF" OR "LOVED" AND "NURTURED". EVEN IF YOU DO THESE SERVICES YOURSELF, ITS STILL IMPORTANT TO YOUR ESTEEM.





5. THERAPY

MAKING SURE YOU ARE EMOTIONALLY SOUND IS KEY TO SELF CARE. BEING IN THE RIGHT MENTAL HEAD SPACE ALLOWS US TO KNOW THAT WE DO MATTER. SELF CARE 101. SO WITH THAT, GOING TO A PROFESSIONAL TO MAINTAIN BALANCE IS A POSITIVE THING AND SHOULDN'T BE LOOKED DOWN UPON.


6. GYM/YOGA/WORKOUT

STAYING HEALTHY & FIT ARE HUGE FACTORS IN SELFCARE. MAKING SURE YOU ARE "AESTHETICALLY PLEASING" IS GREAT, BUT I'M ALSO SPEAKING OF THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE RELEASE OF EMOTIONS THAT HAPPENS WHEN WE GET PHYSICALLY FIT.


7. FULFILLING A DREAM

HAVING A GOAL OR DREAM AND THEN TAKING THE STEPS TO MAKE IT HAPPEN ARE HUGE FACTORS IN SELF CARE. SET A GOAL AND WORK TOWARDS. THAT'S SELF CARE.


8. LEARNING SOMETHING NEW

LEARNING SOMETHING NEW IS AN AMAZING WAY TO PROMOTE SELF CARE. LEARNING & STIMULATING YOUR MIND, ESPECIALLY WITH POSITIVE GROWTH IS A TOOL THAT SHOWS OURSELVES OUR ABILITY TO ACHIEVE.


9. REST/SLEEP

TAKE A DAMN NAP! REST CHILE! LOL YES, SIT YOUR ASS DOWN! LOL. WE NEGATE THE NEED FOR SLEEP, SOMETIMES AS IF WORKING ALL THE TIME MAKES YOU HEALTHIER, (YEAH RIGHT) REST IS A HUGE WAY TO SHOW YOURSELF SOME LOVE.





10. MS.BOUNCEBACK WORKBOOK

MS. BOUNCEBACK WORKBOOK IS ALL ABOUT SELF CARE; KNOWING, RECOGNIZING AND FINDING THE LOVE FOR YOU.


NOW REMEMBER, SELF CARE LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR EVERYBODY, WE ARE ALL ON DIFFERENT PAGES OF THIS JOURNEY, DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.
